Thrilled about my new painting of the Mayan Corn God, done by Diego. I am currently preparing to paint a mix between my style and traditional Mayan freezes for a commissioned piece. I studied with Diego, his brother, Antonio, and sister-in-law, Angelina, the first woman painter in San Juan La Laguna. During this time, I explored the traditional painting style of this area, referenced in a previous blog post.
